Why I hated glass and how I’ve learned to Love it!.

After being injured as a passenger in a bad car accident at the age of 21, I was so afraid of glass, I didn’t like the feel of it or especially the sound of it breaking, such as a glass that may have been dropped or the one time when a framed print fell off my wall and glass shattered everywhere – it sent me back into a panic attack – I realize now that it was all part of post-traumatic stress and I’ve come a long way since then.
Now I love glass! I actually have some still embedded in my eyes, mainly my right eye where the major impact of the windscreen hitting my face occurred, but as I’ve learned over the years, glass is actually inert and can stay in your body forever if need be, without causing too much trouble!
Glass is pure, inert and clean, making it the ideal way to store sensitive products – ever wondered why the finest natural oils, perfumes, wines, preserves etc. are always packaged in glass with specially sealed lids? It’s because glass packaging protects the sensitive contents from oxygen which would otherwise cause ‘oxidization’ to the ingredients within. Only Glass protects the very best of products …Glass is also pure and does not leach contaminants into water or the products contained within, it is fully recyclable and breaks down into it’s natural derivative ‘silica’ over time, it will not pollute our oceans and waterways and create a danger for marine animals the way plastic wasted does and many glass bottles are re-used or disposed of in a more thoughtful way!
I LOVE Glass …. and always look for products that are packaged in glass – what a turn around hey?

And this is me now – almost 28 years later …..
